About Us

A home base for families in our community

The Family Resource Center (FRC) is a nonprofit organization that supports families in Madawaska-Victoria with children ages 0 to 6. Our mission is to offer, free of charge, a diverse range of programs, services, and resources tailored to the needs of parents, expectant parents, and young children. Through our activities, we promote children’s development, strengthen parenting skills, and contribute to the well-being of families in a welcoming, inclusive, and caring environment.

Collaboration

We believe that working in partnership with families, community organizations, and various local stakeholders is essential to meeting the needs of our community.

We welcome every family with respect, empathy, and without judgment, providing a safe, warm, and inclusive environment.

All of our programs are free of charge and open to families across the region.

Playgroup

Ages 0–6

Playgroup

A semi-structured program where you and your child get to socialize. A planned activity touching literacy will be offered.

Adventures for 0-18 Months

Ages 0–18 Months

Adventures 0 to 18 Months

A program that offers great information for parents of children 0 to 18 months. Parents can share ideas, experiences and concerns with the help of our community partners.

Prenatal Classes

A prenatal program that offers information on labor, delivery, comfort measures, medical options, mother and newborn nutrition, etc.

Parenting Skills Classes

All Families Welcome

Parenting Skills Classes

Practical, judgment-free sessions on everyday parenting topics, led by local facilitators.

4 years Old Is Fun

Age 4

Fun to be 4

A program which provides your child the key elements to successfully transition into the school system. The goal is to help children with their motor skills, curiosity, self esteem, independence, concentration and communication skills.

I Move, I Have Fun

Ages 2–6

Let's Move

A physical activity program which includes races, exercise and plenty of fun games.
